Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?’ He said, ‘The one who showed him mercy.’

Jesus said to him, ‘Go and do likewise.’

Jesus calls each of us to show mercy and kindness to the whole world.  At Northwest Community Church, we take that call seriously.  Everyone is invited into the world of service and enabled by our leadership to participate in our various mission ministries.  Whether it is half-way around the world or right in our own backyard, God calls and we go.

Each year we pick a Sunday in the spring to cancel our Sunday morning worship service so we can Be the Church out in our community.  We select several projects, from painting to landscaping to sorting clothing for individuals and area agencies. Groups go out and do the good work of Christ in the world. Then we return for lunch and sharing the wonderful stories of the work we've done and the people we've served.

The Mission Apprentice Program (MAP) Trip is an event our young people look forward to all year.  They are not afraid to  go out into the world to sweat, get dirty and serve "the least of these".  Each year we discover a new place on the MAP.  Whether it is urban or rural mission, our young people discover new realities in the world and new strength in their walk of faith.

Our Mission Partners

God calls us to be in community with others.  We can't do all the things we feel called to on our own.

So we deliberately create partnerships with other agencies to better do the work of Christ in the world.
